Above shows a 2ply yarn I made all by myself! It was super fun.I am using a drop Spindle that I made myself. The Spindle is a little off Balance but I will try sanding and making sure hook is centered.Above is in progress to show how thin I have managed to get a single ply.I still have breaks when I pull too thin but I am getting a more consistent, less thick/thin areas.

I made the hat on the octopus and helped with the embroidery on both.The octopus was Myra's first stuffed toy. She did a super job with just a little help from me starting each arm. The pear is her second project and she followed the instructions almost completely on her own.

I saw some very similar bags while I was out yesterday. The smaller bag is just a little larger than a yarn cake(ball). The larger bag is almost 7.5 inches to a side and is a nice size for a project.

First a improvised knit bracelet. I made using a milk cap from the chocolate milk at Wendy's, and some faceted plastic beads. This is Waldo. I made him last week, while I was sick with a summer cold.I made him for me. He has already suffered through one dog attack. This attack required major surgery. I am working on a Scarf for me. It's about 2/3 of the way finished. I will be ready for next fall.A spring hat gone wrong. Sure it looks great.. but it was supposed to be child sized. I used to heavy a yarn and went up a hook size to make up for it. Block 12I added the oval cutout on the basket to break up the larger shape.A shot of the entire top.This was a fun quilt top to work on. A great use for scraps left over from other projects.I think I will be setting this aside for quilting later in the year.

Buttoned MittsI wanted a less bulky mitt to use while typing. I only made minor changes to the pattern. Switching to smaller needles, sock yarn, adding an additional 12 stitches to the cast on and working five cables instead of three. (Aug 1995)Cute.She is supposed to have a jingle bell in her hands.I followed the instructions, except for the whit ruffle on her dress. it looked a little too stiff so I changed the second round to loops. It probably would have been fine if I had used the called for hook and not one one size smaller (it was already out.)

I did not follow the instructions at all. But I think he looks okay.I used the pattern pieces provided in the November 1987 Crafts magazine. I did not stuff each section of tail feathers, as if they were pillows. I used a double layer of batting instead.I added the buttons holding the wings on and made the little hat. The original had a little store bought straw hat.

I cut the paper strips to the correct size rectangle for each doll size. I glued the rectangles down to the plain white card stock. 70 Santa Head Christmas tree ornamentsI started these a few years ago. I don't think I will cut out so many if I ever mass produce anything else. The pattern had this cute purse too!It is supposed to be quilted, but I used fleece so... I just sewed some x-mas trim to the quilting lines. Sequined ribbon form the clearance bin and a scrap of cording from a grab bag for the handles. and those sew on gems came off a headband from the everything is a dollar store.I also only decorated one side.

I am finished with the costume! There were four overlays for each leg. The pattern called for almost 18 yards of metallic trim for the overlays. I cheated and bought a third of a yard of tulle with gold metallic thread woven in. I cut the tulle in quarter inch strips with the rotary cutter and had all the trim I needed to give just a little sparkle.Hardest part: the Zipper!
