This went much faster than I thought it would. Next to work on the strip of fabric which will be the sides and bottom of the purse.

I love your honu (Hawaiian for turtle) quilt. I'm sure the bag will be beautiful.
Hope you find the time to make the fat bottom bag. It's a really quick project and addicting as well. I totally envy your sewing skills. I'm a complete novice.
