We have been invited to a party! I found a free pattern online for the pirate pig hat and modified it to fit an adult and just kept improvising more details as I went along. I really like the earrings I added.

http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63281I am not going to have enough yarn to finish this hat. I need to unravel it and make something else. I had my mind set on this hat. The yarn is, Yarn Bee Mosaic Twist in Rum Raisin. The local Hobby Lobby is sold out. The store near my mother is sold out. *sigh* Maybe I will put the stitches on a scrap of yarn and hibernate this is hopes of finding the yarn. I matches my felted scarf so well, I am not really wanting to give up on it.
Felted! The leaves turned out a little strange. I was hoping I knit them large enough to keep more of their shape. But I looks good, with the leaves cut off and sewn back on. And some of the 3d bobbles turned out a little off. The disk shapes I used to felt them shifted and some even tried to push through the Knit. The Bobbles inside the flowers turned out exactly as I dreamed. They are still soft and Springy.
I have 48 inches of multicolored knitting finished and have begun to embellish a bit.
I found a nice Vintage pattern for the leaf edging and will be adding it to both ends. I Learned a new technique and Attached the green to the Multi with a three needle bind off.
I Have also made one crochet flower as a pattern test. I am making the flowers with white so I can dye them with Kool-aid after I have made them .
I Made a 12 Inch doll of Cthulhu. Shawn had been talking about me making one from a pair of socks. I looked at pictures of similar dolls made by others, and became inspired to give a try at crocheting one. It took about 7 hours to make. I just made it up as I went along, starting with the head. After finishing the head, I had the idea of moving arms and legs. Shawn said the hands had to have at least three "fingers". The hardest bit to make up was the wings. I wish the pipe cleaner, at the top of the wings, was less visible.
